eHarmony is quite different to most of the other dating sites available on the internet as they are dedicated to finding you the person who you want to spend the rest of your life with.
They are extremely successful and have a huge singles following throughout the States and Canada.
The founder of this dating site, Dr. Neil Clark Warren has been in Time, Newsweek, The Chicago Tribune and a host of other media interviews for his exclusive scientifically devised dating system for getting the right people together. I found eHarmony.com to be in fact so focused on finding correct matches that they (and this is also rarer in the dating world) work almost exclusively on personality. There is quite a long personality profile which you take when you sign up but it is WELL worth it, even for just an insight into your own personality.
This was by FAR the most accurate personality test I have ever taken (and there have been a few!). I was amazed to see that eHarmony are so confident in their abilities to find you matches that they are one of the very, very few dating sites that offer you a guarantee!
This should give you a bit of an idea on how successful eHarmony is with getting the right matches. You do pay a bit more than other dating sites for high success rate, but it is still less than a nice two-person dinner and then there is also that guarantee.
The layoutis great and I found it easy to find my way around the site. They have a huge collection of dating articles and dating tips and links to their media appearances. I recommend these as many of them make for great reading and they're all free.
eHarmony scores a 1 on the Raunch Meter as it is all about finding a long-term relationship. It scores an EASY 5 on the Seriousness Meter and in fact if I could give it a 6 or 7 then I would!
